Matchstick Banksia Banksia cuneata

This was growing in King's Park Botanical Gardens in Perth, it's declared rare flora and is now virtually restricted to roadside verges, West Aust declared roadside verges should be 3-10 chains wide many years ago and have proven to be a refuge for many plant species.  Can be difficult to grow away from the soil & climate experienced in SW West Australia.

Canon AE-1P + 200mm f4 macro, diffuser, reflector, About 1/30 @ f11 on Provia 100F.  All comments welcome.

Beautiful looking flower, I love the colours. The leaves look quite interesting too. A nice capture as always.

Great shot Chris, nice and sharp with plenty of fine detail. BG works well. Are you using a "L" series?

Nice shot of a variety that I did not that exist.
Very beautiful flower, I wander if it can be grafted in a common Banksia stock to make it grow in the east ?

Cheers

No it's the 200mm macro, not an L lens, but very sharp, up there with the best Canon lenses.
