I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but this last version makes the kestrel look like it was shot, stuffed and put on a display in a museum. I really like the hard side lighting on the original, exactly have I have seen hundreds of kestrels in the wild on winter afternoons.

The original is a brilliant piece of work, that you should be very proud of. Stunning light and pose. So very well done.
